Privacy policy

Thread & Fade is a static editorial site. We do not run user accounts. This policy describes the little data we might see, and the data third parties see if you enable ads or a newsletter later.

What we collect

  • Email you send us. Letters to hello@threadandfade.com are used to reply. We do not sell the list.
  • Newsletter. If PUBLIC_NEWSLETTER_URL is set, that provider’s privacy policy governs the signup. We will not enable a list without a real provider URL.
  • Server logs. Our host (typically Vercel) may record IP address, user agent, and requested URL for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to build a marketing profile.

Advertising

Google AdSense is enabled on this deployment. Google may use cookies and device identifiers to serve and measure ads. See the Cookies & ads page and Google’s advertising policies for details.

Affiliate links

Product callouts may include affiliate URLs. Clicking them can tell the retailer that you came from this site. That is a conversion cookie on their domain, not a login on ours. We disclose affiliate pages in the article.

Cookies

The magazine itself does not set a tracking cookie. Hosting, ads (if enabled), and newsletter tools might. Read the cookie and ad disclosure for the current state.

To ask what we hold, or to have an email thread deleted, write tohello@threadandfade.com. We will not invent a consent banner for cookies we do not set.
